Facts first. I started The Little Stylist while pregnant with my second child. I was a baby & kids’ stylist and fashion/shopping editor (prior to that I was a women’s fashion stylist and on magazines) and contributed to loads of parenting titles. But sadly those titles had started losing readers, closing and lessening budgets. So, I thought why don’t I just do the same thing for myself…

As my own children have grown (though the youngest just turned three – still in pram territory) I’ve found myself featuring less baby products. But that passion for seeking out the best new brands and buys, hearing about them and testing them remains. (I’ve done a lot of product testing in my time from prams to breast pumps and baby carriers to name a few… for established titles including Mother & Baby, Gurgle, The Evening Standard, The Independent). I love it.
I love products that are aesthetically pleasing but make parents lives easier. Because I’m massively in the camp of parenting being a total joy BUT also the hardest job you’ll do.
I still know about these products; I’d say I’m something of an expert. I try them, I go to the press previews and view them, I judge them at baby awards and I talk about them a lot when I’m styling baby shoots. So, I wanted to be able to share my favourites. The products I think you’ll love.
New, exciting, stylish must have products for baby & parents that look pretty and will make parenthood easier. The things you need to know about. That they don’t talk about at NCT. And they might not always stock in John Lewis or on Amazon. Those products you’ll spy another mum with one day and give each other a knowing smile… that you’re the same kind of people… these are the things I want to share with you. BIBS STUDIO COLLECTION
BIBS are the most attractive pacifiers on the market. If you thought the Liberty print collection was good, you’ll love the new Studio launch. Bold stripes make them as much an accessory as a baby essential. BUT they’re also of the highest quality and made from the best materials with the highest regards to safety & testing. They’re aesthetically pleasing and look great in a photo too.
DOONA X
If you’re a parent or parent to be you’ll be aware of the Doona, it was kind of a breakthrough in the pram world due to its small size, compact nature & ability to transform from car seat to pushchair. The Doona X is the upgrade.
Now with three recline positions meaning your child can lie down and relax = more naps. Plus, lots more safety features and protection as a car seat. Furthermore it offers a smoother transition on all accounts, is super convenient and given that it’s both a pushchair and car seat it’s a great price at £549. Though accessories such as an isofix base and rain cover are extra. Ideal for city living and when travelling BUT it won’t get you through forest walks on muddy terrain. Worth keeping in mind…
THE CARIPOD
From established maternity brand Seraphine comes the new CARIPOD baby carrier. Daisy Lowe has been spotted in it. It looks good. There are four different colourways available – black, animal print, navy and geo print. My personal preference is the geo print. It’s different to anything else so can be as much a part of your ‘look’ as a baby product but it’s simple enough to work with anything you’ll wear. E.g. Great with a grey tee, jeans, trainers. Elevates your look. But without trying to be an Artipoppe (it’s also half the price of one at £189). It’s just different.
And you know that coming from a maternity brand you’re in safe hands, it’s been fully tested, is comfortable to wear etc… It offers both inward and outward carrying options, can be used from new-born to toddler stage and it comes in two parts – a harness for you and pod for baby which makes it super easy to get on/off and fasten/unfasten.
T+M CANVAS POCKET TOTE

LANSINOH SOOTHIES COOLING GEL PADS
Meet your new best friends. Well, your nipples new best friends. Breast feeding hurts. Even when you find it easy you hit the odd rocky patch. Usually at the very beginning of your feeding journey. I can say from experience (in total I spent 3.5 years of my life breast feeding) that there were times I wanted to scream and cry with cracked nipples. And I was in the camp that loved it and miss it.
I was and Lansinoh cream advocate so I know it’s good BUT they’ve just launched these new Soothies Cooling Gel Pads which are next level. You can keep them in the fridge and pop on when you need relief – they’re a lot more pleasant to use than cabbage leaves (which I did also try, they kind of weirdly do work but it’s not a pleasant experience, the smell for one).
