My favourites from dreamy Danish kids’ brand Wheat…
Wheat maybe new to the UK (they launched their first London store at the end of last year) but they’re one of the most popular kidswear brands in Scandinavia. As soon as you land on their website or walk inside the Islington store you can see why. Everything is beautiful, timeless, effortlessly cool and stylish but also completely practical. The fabrics are sustainable, super high quality (my youngest wore the merino wool layers on our December Lapland trips and no complaints on the cold from her), made for adventures and to be played in.
I think if you like The Little Stylist style wise, you’ll love Wheat. I could quite happily dress my kids in anything from the collections and be completely happy with the look. It’s not too often that happens with kids’ brands. These are the pieces I already have or really love and want now!
The brand is probably most known for it’s superior outerwear – and I’ve included a few pieces below. From rainwear to thermals. All in styles & colours which look pleasing in the coat cupboard… But the daywear is lovely. The dresses are the perfect shape. Sweet worn alone – they’ll be great with little tan leather sandals come spring – we’re currently layering over the merino layers and under wool vests with possibly the prettiest black floral wellington boots I’ve ever seen. The leggings are warm, thick and come in various earthy tones and subtle floral prints – I love the dark winter florals. Even the t-shirts & tops are considered, a frill sleeve edge or just the softest wool.
And I can’t not mention the accessories. Hats & bonnets are kind of my thing and they’re delightful. I’m also very taken with the neckwarmers and my youngest has the little detatchable collar which works with everything.
Most of these pieces are available in baby or kids’ sizes (they go up to 14 years) – search by age. And they’re pretty much all in the sale NOW.
