All our favourite new rainy day kidswear – playful, stylish but super practical. From premium pieces to high street heroes, these are the best new finds for keeping little ones dry in style.
Highlights for me include the adorable rain capes and caps from Wheat. Just too cute.
Garbo & Friends have launched a sweet capsule rainwear collection (above) which is as charming as it is functional.
And Zara Home’s tartan check waxed cotton pieces – which may be more water resistant than fully waterproof – are just glorious. Too chic to leave out. Classic heritage British countryside chic. The collection also includes a cap, trousers, jacket and rain boots.
If you’re after serious waterproofing, Puddleproofs are the way to go – they’re clever all-in-one kid’s waders, with trousers bonded to classic Dunlop wellies.
And speaking of wellies – there’s an abundance of great-value kids options out there. Hunter and Merry People remain firm favourites, but the high street (especially H&M and M&S) and Tu at Sainsbury’s have great styles at affordable prices. I’ve included a few favourites here, though honestly, I could, and probably should, do a whole rain boot edit.
