I love the sun (even if my body seems to hugely object to the concept of tanning) but I do wish I could just click my fingers and be at the Anya Hindmarch pop up Ice Cream Project eating chocolate Hobnob ice cream. Ideally next to a swimming pool. So, I figured the only acceptable main image this week is swimwear. And Canopea’s kids’ swimsuits are amongst the best. Above is the Martha, the pretty Alba style is also a firm favourite.
I have included a few knitted pieces below – but they’re summer knits – the new Knit Planet dress and romper are simply charming. Such good colours. Then there are a few bits to tuck away for autumn (couldn’t resist the bear socks).
Other highlights are lots of easy, breezy, summer looks, cool unisex vests and tee’s, effortlessly cool shorts, pretty dresses, plus a few statement, conversation pieces – the Fille Garcon western boots – I posted a pic of them on Insta last week and they got a lot of love, so thought I should include them here. My daughter is obsessed. Apparently, they’re super comfortable too. And I’m so pleased that Arket are now stocking the kids Grech & Co sunglasses.
Next week I’m off to Pitti Bimbo – THE childrenswear trade show in Florence, Italy so keep an eye out for hopefully some beautiful new baby & kids brand discoveries then! And if you work in kids’ fashion and are going to Pitti DM me so we can grab a coffee…
Finally, is anyone else already starting to feel the end of term overwhelm creeping up already? I wrote a big (slightly ranty) post about it which I then didn’t post as I know there are far more important things happening in the world so was very conscious it made me sound ridiculous… but it’s the 6-10-week summer holidays looming – everything that needs to happen before that. And then coping with it. And the pressure for it to be filled with joy. But then also needing and wanting to work… blah blah blah. Sorry I’ll stop now.
Back to kids fashion.
