Meet our favourite follow on Instagram…
Celine Bukulow is a content creator, stylist and absolutely nailing Instagram right now. We love her content and creativity and wanted to know more.
Tell us about you Celine, we love your work but don’t know so much about you?
“My name is Celine Bukulow, I’m 31 years-old and live in a small, idyllic town in Germany with my husband and our two daughters – Apollonia, 4 and Dalia, almost 2. I work as a content creator and stylist, specializing in kidswear, and I absolutely love to work and connect with other brands.
I’ve been working in the fashion and styling industry for over 12 years now. I began in retail. Along the way, I also decorated store windows, styled mannequins, worked as a stylist, and planned in-store events—thanks to my love for party planning! Additionally, I founded my own accessories label, GWP Studio, in late 2018, (which I still run today but only for requests…).
Creativity has always been a huge part of who I am — I love working with my hands, designing, and bringing new ideas to life.
When my first daughter was born, I developed a deep interest in sustainable fashion, textiles, and the rich stories behind fabrics and craftsmanship. I began educating myself in this field, taught myself how to sew, started designing my own clothing, creating patterns, and even researching fabrics along the ancient Silk Road (India, Uzbekistan, Persia).”
We’d love your thoughts on motherhood. And the role art & crafting plays in your family’s daily life? We’re obsessed with your giant cardboard cake.
“Motherhood is truly a wild journey filled with emotions, love, joy, uncertainty, and even fears – and yet, it’s the most beautiful thing in the world!
My children always have access to art and craft supplies. My older daughter is very creative – she loves to spend her days drawing, crafting, and learning how to write. We have an art studio at home filled with canvases, acrylic paints, and everything you need to be creative. Both of my children spend time in that room every day – it’s become truly a regular part of our daily routine!
That’s also where our cardboard creations come to life – we recycle our old cardboard almost daily and turn it into something fun. For example, we’ve made a cardboard puppet theatre, fairy wings and the giant cake!
One of our newest traditions is our homemade fairy tale book I’ve started for my daughters. We come up with little stories – usually short five-minute bedtime fairy tales. I write them down, and then we create our own illustrations/pictures to go along with them. Many of our craft projects are inspired by these stories, including the cake. First the story, then the craft project! And I absolutely love it. We already have a long crafting to-do list for Halloween and Christmas!”
We can’t wait to see your Halloween and Christmas creations.
And on Instagram, tell us about your journey and how it’s evolved?
“It all evolved very naturally over the past year. It started when RICE reached out to me, shared my photos, and later asked me for an interview. Before that, I used Instagram mostly privately, just as a hobby, sharing little glimpses of our lives — that was about a year ago.
Since then, I’ve connected with so many new people and made friends from all over the world. I’ve built a truly lovely community and now have the chance to collaborate and work with some of my favourite brands ever — something I’m incredibly grateful for!!!
There are still so many on my wishlist — I absolutely love Bobo Choses, Bebe Organic, Apolina, Projekt Tyyny, Mini Boden, Konges Sløjd… just to name a few.
Funnily enough, I’ve actually been thinking about this more often lately. I really love working with and for other brands, and I want to continue focusing my energy there. But it would be a dream come true to collaborate with a brand to design something — to create a few limited pieces together. With my love for design and textile craftsmanship, that would truly mean the world to me and would be a “dream come true moment”!”
