If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll probably see I’ve posted a few times on Word / The W Store recently. Two independent stores across the road from one another in Walthamstow Village, East London. Full of SO many gems. Word is all things baby & childrenswear, from clothing to decor, toys and books to gifts. The W Store is women’s, men’s, home, beauty, lifestyle… so with less than a fortnight to go till Christmas I thought I’d hit them both up for some gift giving inspiration.
The two together are a one stop shop for beautiful, unique Christmas gifting. From bigger presents (key buys from coveted clothing brands) to stocking fillers (chocolate lobsters, cute coin purses for kids, such a good edit of books), secret Santa’s (a smiley face wooden spoon or super cool candles and beauty products depending on your budget) to cute decor (the coolest striped reusable bow Christmas crackers). There’s something for everyone. And it’s all available online as well as instore.
When I popped in there were SO many things I wanted. A lot for myself. Some for my children, husband, home or to gift to friends and family. These are my favourites.
Highly recommend you pop in IRL if you’re East London way – they really are such beautiful stores, so thoughtfully bought for, curated and displayed (there’s good food available nearby too, day trip?). A lot of love goes into independent stores and there’s nowhere better for ideas, inspiration and bringing joy to a winter weekend. But, as I said, it’s all available online too – one website.
